Mandia stuns with her incredibly rhythmically deep R&B single "My Hair"

One of the most stunning R&B singers around at the moment, Mandia never fails to disappoint and her latest single “My Hair” is beyond perfection. Her artistry has grown so much over the years and she’s really coming into her own, and we’ve been with her every step of the way, but she’s completely outdone herself with “My Hair”, which is set to become your new favourite song.

Mandia, full name Adamandea Nantsios and also known as Mandia Nantsios, is an Ottawa-born Greek-Canadian singer-songwriter who has been building up her music career for years, diving and expanding her R&B staple, showcasing versatility throughout. At the age of 15, she gained attention from Canadian and US producers, leading her to work with a variety of songwriters and music producers. She spent years perfecting her vocals and learning music theory, later going on to work with Grammy Award-winning producers 1500 or Nothin and songwriter James Fauntleroy. 2018 saw her blend her signature sound with mainstream grime and rap music with the “Cocktails & Dreams” EP, and the awesome song “Pull Up (Skrrt)” which featured Eric Bellinger. Keeping up the momentum, she toured across Canada and the US and even opened up for Trevor Jackson and Jacob Latimore. But it’s her more recent tracks that have seen her go viral, with the 2021 collaboration with Mandrazo and The LJ, on the single “Payroll”, becoming her most-streamed single, with over half a million Spotify streams; as well as her solo single “Diamonds” also gaining traction with hundreds of thousands of streams. Her vocals are undeniably amazing, her songwriting is enchanting, and her musicality is beyond measure, as R&B weaves its way back to the mainstream, Mandia is set to become one of its driving forces. She’s an absolute star with an incredible work ethic that is bound to lead to success. Watch this space, Mandia is ready to take the spotlight.

“My Hair” is a rhythmic R&B track with an addictive beat and absolutely phenomenal vocals. Effortlessly showcasing her strength with brilliant vocal runs, Mandia doesn’t hold back bringing a Mariah Carey and JoJo vibe with the fearlessness of Beyoncé – and that’s just her epic voice, alone, add in the fired-up rap verse and the lyrics themselves, and this incredible singer-songwriter is proving to be not just an all-rounder, but a total fierce queen. “My Hair” may have an indie-R&B vibe at the start of the track, but that allows Mandia to lead listeners into a false sense of security before unleashing her awesome vocal range. That is all wrapped around an infectious melody and a groovy bass beat that DJs are going to love – we hope to see a remix EP soon. Mandia doesn’t stop there, though, her songwriting skills are awe-inspiring as she tells a metaphorical vision through a relatable story as she goes on to describe her hair – fierce, sexy, sultry, and powerful, Mandia is faultlessly strutting her stuff both in reality amongst the music industry as well as metaphorically down a runway (and in real life, have you seen how gorgeous she looks on Instagram?) Mandia is totally on top form and we are living for every single second. “My Hair” is our 2023 R&B track of the summer and we’ll be playing it on repeat for the rest of the year, we have no doubts about that.
